Lunch with the elders and Mission President
Wow... Quite a bit of stuff going on back Home!!!!
Hasn’t had an email like that in a LONG time. I hope you guys are alright
and that you are working together as a family. Holden Lonies is stung. He needs
our help like we can’t understand. We can’t afford to do anything that
would hurt his ability to save the beautiful marriage they have. Mom, I
am SUPER thrilled that you got to go through the temple with Robin!!!! And in
the Salt Lake temple!!!! Man what a blessing. :)
I hope that memories sticks with you till thee day our recommends are
scanned together in the same Holy
Place. :) I have a goal to make it to the Salt Lake
temple someday... Specifically I have a goal to make it there with some very
special family members and Love the thought of going!!! I have to say, I am
quite Temple-Sick. As in, I miss going though the temple so terribly!!!!
It has been so LONG!!! I can’t imagine a life without its Holy Healing
Ability. I will fill my life with Temple
service and my Family will be Eternal. :) (I am eternal with you guys. :)
I’m talking about my future family)
Today was a super awesome P-Day!!! Spent with President.
We did studies and such normal in the morning, and then at ten, we drove
over to President’s House (the mission home right next to the temple) and
played basketball with President till 12. I played awesome and had a hoot
of a time playing with all the guys and President. We played 3 on 4 and I
played quite well. I am very blessed to be living with these 5 Elders and
working so closely with President. His Wife is still doing quite badly
and she is in our prayers EVERY night. Please pray for President and
Sister Armstrong, this is a really REALLY hard time for them right now.
-- I thoroughly enjoyed today, after we finished basketball, we drove
back home and showered and got back into our Monkey Suits. Then we headed off
to eat lunch with President, His wife, His daughter, a Hermana that is having
health issues, and us 6 elders. We went to a Chinese place and wow, the
food was amazing!!! Everything is LEGIT. The food put
"Ching-Chang" to shame but the company is ALWAYS much better with you
guys at Ching-chang. :) Sorry my English is so horrible... Not sure what
the deal is this week... I will have to try and get another hand written letter
done soon, don’t know if I will have time this pay but the next one for sure.
:) We went to Chinese food because we were celebrating Elder
Santos´ birthday today. President always takes us out to lunch for
Birthdays I guess. :) It was super nice to get to know Hermana Armstrong
a little more as well as Stacy. There is so much to share with you guys,
so many trials, and so many joys. So many Miracles!!! I LOVE the work...
there is nothing to compare it to. It is quite hard to have such little
time in the mission field, seeing as we leave the offices at 4 on a good day.
But I am making the best of it!!! :) I am a trooper, better yet, I am a
servant. :) I am enjoying learning Korean with Elder Ha, He is an
interesting companion. :) Learning a lot of patience, but man do I love
him? :) Ha-ha. The things that I learn on a mission are SO stinkin´
important!!! It is so crazy to think of facing this life without the things I
have learned on my mission thus far.
So we had to send a missionary home this week... It was
super hard... I have NEVER seen a sadder soul. He just gloomed. It
really hit me. Hard. The fact that he just rejected the blessing of a
mission. He had a little over one transfer. He had to stay with us for 2
days and work in the offices/Field with us. It was interesting to feel
the lack of the spirit as we rely on Him so much!!! I have been praying
quite a bit for that Elder. It saddens me to see a Son of God go home...
But the work goes on and I have LOTS of work to do. :) Ha-ha. The Lord is
here to help me and boy is I thankful for the Gift of the Holy Spirit.
We had a Conference here this week as well!!! one of the
most interesting things that hit me was that God has given us MANY gifts, BUT
the most important can be narrowed down to 2 of the MOST IMPORTANT gifts.
The Holy Ghost and Christ’s atoning sacrifice. The two biggest
gifts God has given us are the only two remaining members of the Godhead.
How amazing is that?? God is so loving and kind that he gave us his
Son and Companion to help us here in the Earth.
I am doing fantastic here in the offices, they really needed
my help. I am amazed at how much help God has given me. There is no
way I could have served this much before the mission with such enthusiasm and
drive. God has blessed me and called me to work in his vineyard.
And I will have nothing more than sack loads FULL to the brim for him. :)
Mom always said that she was sending off a MAN to the
mission... But what I have learned is just how much of a BOY I was before the
mission!!!! It amazes me!!!! It truly blows me away how much my desires and
testimony have grown. Mom sent off a little boy and will be getting back
a Man for sure. :) A man experienced with success and defeat, filled with the Spirit
and a witness of those who lack Him, A man with a testimony that has grown to
be the weeping willow that once filled my Grandmother’s front lawn. I
cannot thank my Father in Heaven enough for the blessing of my Mission. I know that what I am doing is
His work and that He is pleased with my service.
I will be fasting for Holden Today and tomorrow, please give all you’ve got for our loved cousin/nephew. He needs us.
I love you all so much!!!! I hope that the Girls have a
FANTASTIC time on the trek this week!!!! I HAVE to hear all about it. Ok??
Deal. BOTH of you have to write me a Hugh email (one each) detailing your
experiences. I will print them off next week and read them. :) I love you
all so stinkin much. :) I am busy here and loving the progress that
I am seeing. I know God will bless you as I worthily serve here in Uruguay.
All those broken things are satin’s way of picking on you guys. Tell him
to buzz off. :) Ha-ha. Ok maybe you could be a little more Christ Like with
your wording, instead, tell him "Get thee hence Satan!"
Know that you are always in my prayers and I trust that God
is using you all in His hands for His purposes. Stay Strong and Love the
Service you are all in. :)
With Lots of Love,
With Lots of Love,
