Me with some Sicamore treees ;) Today, Shortly before getting to the cyber
Love the suit... ;)
My comp! Elder Alder
This is one of the poorest members i know... yes he lives here.
Here for Conference
Conference rocked my toe socks! (Joni Olson saying. :) ha-ha)
Loved every second of it! Ha-ha. There was such
a special spirit about it this year. loved the talk by elder Bednar about
the need for a heavy load in these trying times. There is lots to do on a
mission and sometimes the load seems to hard to bear, some times you feel like
you have all four wheels spinning as you sit like a beached whale on the side
of a snowy road. But when we put the excuses away and WORK, we see that
the loads help us move forward. I loved the entire conference so much!
Was and always will be different watching it at the church dressed up in
a suit and tie with other missionaries around you... The scene is much
different than in your own home, feet kicked up on the lazy boy couch. :) With
family accompanying you. Ha-ha. But boy I sure loved to see the
"Mormon news" afterwards where they showed the Gilbert temple and the
celebration in the rain. :) What a beautiful lesson learned from that!
Those cast members suited up and danced even though it was raining and
stormy outside. We live in rainy days full of filth and addictions.
Will we suit up and prepare ourselves for the coming of the Lord??
Or will the storm intimidate us so much that we chose to stay home and
watch from the window. Two things are sure... The storm will continue and
Christ WILL come. The only question is how we will spend the time
preparing.
President Cook has shown a lot of interest in me and my
area. 4/4 weeks he has written me and we have discussed certain topics.
He has asked for my opinions and imputes and I am quite touched. ;) Ha-ha.
He is doing a great work here in Uruguay.
Someone’s birthday is common up!!! The 17th is getting
ever so closer! Ha-ha. Hope some big family plans are being made.
Make sure you spoil her lots that whole week!!! That’s my
momma!
Things here are getting colder, but I still sleep with the
fan on and just grandma Connolly’s blanket over the top. Doing great on
winter gear, still have the sweaters you sent me. The fall colors are
here and leaves are on the ground everywhere. I love to walk down the
street and kick up the sweet sound of fall as I search for those to teach.
We are praying for Lucas, the son of our recent baptism (The one we had
the first week or two that I was here) he needs to get over his fear of water,
keep him in your prayers. :) Karina (His mom, our convert) is doing SUPER
great! One of the best converts ever. Her prayers are so sincere
and her studies are in depth. She always has a question for us when we
show up to her door.
Love you family!
Love,
Elder Reay
